Getting Serious About What You Want

Anthea Moffat - Sunday, April 19, 2009

I am just putting the finishing touches to the next Business Masters Club workshop - "7 Success Principles" and once again I am reminded of the power of goal setting and how little time we generally spend on this important task.

For the last couple of years I have certainly been more diligent about setting goals but even as I write the workshop I know I can do better. Afterall if we don't have clear goals how can we possible expect to achieve them!

So over the last couple of days I have been frantically making lists of the things that I want to do, be and have in this lifetime and it feels great.
It's funny how quickly we can forget about what's really important in our lives. We get caught up in running our businesses, running our families and the day-to day hustle and bustle of life seems to take over. And yet after spending just a short amount of time refamiliarising myself with my hearts desires has already improved my focus and time management.

When was the last time you took time out to get even more clarity about the life you want. I highly recommend it.

  1. Make a list of 30 things you want to "do"
  2. Make a list of 30 things to want to "be"
  3. Make a list of 30 things you want to "have"
  4. Create a vision board or journal that contains pictures of your hearts desires.
